10. Heinäkuuta / July 10th

Nyt kun on vedenpitävä katto päällä, niin pääsin lattioita naulaamaan. Työ etenee nyt ylhäältä alaspäin: Ensin vesikatto, sitten yläkerran lattia ja viimeiseksi alakerran lattia. Yläkerran lattian sain tänään lähes valmiiksi. Liitän muutamia tuoreita, tämänpäiväisiä kuvia.


Now that I have a waterproof roof on top, i can move on to making the floors. Here's some photos of todays work.

Mennäänpä ensin pari viikkoa ajassa taaksepäin. Näin kiinnitin kattotuolien alapäät.
This is how I fastened lower ends of the rafters.

Ja näin kiinnitin yläpäät.
And this is how I fastened upper ends.

Vihdoin ja viimein sain katon a) laudoitettua, b) huovan päälle! Ihanaa! Ei enää puljaamista pressujen kanssa! Tulkoon vain vettä, lunta, räntää, rakeita - ei haittaa enää! Olen tässä jännittänyt, että riittääkö poutapäiviä katon tekoon, kun tuli esteitä ja vastoinkäymisiä peräjälkeen. Valmista kuitenkin tuli. Iso kiitos kaikille rakkaille pojilleni, jotka olivat mukana kattotalkoissa!


Ainoa ikävä uutinen on se, että KAMERA kieltäytyi yhteistyöstä, enkä saanut kännykältäkään ladatuksi yhtään kuvaa tietokonelle! En käsitä miksi! Laitan kuvia niin pian kuin suinkin mahdollista.


Täytyy alkaa suunnittelemaan harjannostajaisia!


I hereby proudly announce, that my logproject has reached it's top height: The roof is ready made, boarded and roofing felt assembled! No more difficult maneuvering with vast tarpaulins! Let it rain cats and dogs! It doesn't matter anymore. The hut is covered! 


The height of the hut, by the way, is 4,8 meters! The scaffolding, too, is way over three meters high. I mus give a BIG thanks to my sons, all four of them, who helped me with this roof-project and, for example, carried heavy rolls of roofing felt up the ladders to roof!


The only sad news is, that I have no photos of the ready made roof yet. Well, I have some on my camera, and my cellphone, but neither agreed to co-operate, with my computer! Don't know why. I'll ad some soon as possible!!
